Thursday Confessions

Thursday, December 8, 2016

Happy Thursday Everyone! It's time again for my weekly confessions.....

* I confess that I was very disappointed in the Hairspray Live production. I enjoyed the movie a lot better than the play. I can't imagine how hard it is to do a play live on national television so I give all the actors mad props.

* I confess that I am in love with our one teaser that we got back from our maternity session. Omg I am in love with this picture and the miracle growing in my belly now.

* I confess that I go back to the doctor on the 22nd to be checked for the first time and I am scared shitless. I am so nervous about that and seeing what position baby girl is in. I reallly want my birth to go as planned and don't want a csection. I am so scared that she is breech or transverse still.

* I confess that we are having our second baby shower at my house this weekend and I am so excited but bummed that I have to deep clean tomorrow. I am taking a half day off work because I am that girl that cleans everything even though no one will go in certain rooms they have to be clean.

Bump Date: 34 Weeks

Maternity clothes: Maternity clothes all the way.
Stretch marks: None so far.

Food cravings: Starbucks Coffee. I love the holiday Chestnut Praline Latte.
queasy or sick:  Still queasy

Belly button in or out: In
Have you started to show yet: Yeah.
Wedding rings on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy
Looking forward to: Our second baby shower this weekend.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, December 1, 2016

I know... I know. I really suck lately at this whole blogging thing. I blame it on the fact that I don't sleep and spend most days trying to keep up with the daily grind. Like I feel like I could fall asleep on the floor but can't sleep when it is actually time to sleep. Anyway it is totally Thursday which means it is time for Confessions.

* I confess that I haven't packed my hospital bag even though I have been reminded by J every day to do it. It's not time yet.... I still want her to bake and stay there forever. Just kidding not for real... at some point I want to be able to pee like a normal person again. Not every 30 minutes.

* I confess that I am mad at Mr. Weather right now. It is December and it is also 75 degrees.... This is bull shit. Where is winter?

* I confess that I don't really want any Christmas presents this year. This is a weird thing for me. I am usually about the makeup, clothes, and shoes but this year I am more excited about baby girl making her debut and spending time with family before our world changes.

* I confess that work has got me stressed out. Like for real. One of my coworkers will be out until December 19th and that is about the time that we go on reduced staff for Christmas. So WTF why even come to work at that point. She will be out six weeks for a toe surgery.... Her TOE!

* I confess that I made our first house payment this week and it made me want to cry. I hate being a adult and paying bills.....

* I confess that I am so excited for next Monday to watch the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. It makes me so happy and I dream of one day being able to go to New York and seeing the wings from the previous year. Lord please just let me walk that runway with wings just once.

Happy Friday Eve Everyone.

Friday Favs

Friday, November 18, 2016

Sorry that I have been MIA lately. Whoever told me moving at seven and half months pregnant is a great idea should be shot. I have been super busy getting things unpacked, put away, ready for the holidays, and preparing for this sweet angel who will make her appearance in less than eight weeks. I can't believe that today I am 32 weeks and she will be in my arms in less than 8 weeks.... Man it is crazy! Here are my five favorites.....

One. We have our first baby shower this weekend. I could not be more excited to celebrate this bump. I will be sharing the details of the shower and Thanksgiving at our home next week. We decided to go ahead and do a couples shower this weekend so the hubby/ baby daddy could be involved. I love watching him get excited about her.

Two. Speaking of that sweet baby bump we had our 4d this past weekend and she is comical ya'll. She would get tickled at something and laugh... It was amazing spending 30 minutes watching her on the screen.

Three. Ya'll I am having so much fun decorating the house and getting it set up the way we want. This house has a different feel and I love how open and inviting it is. We are trying to do it room by room so we can get everything completely done in one room without moving to the next one. So far I am in love with it and can not wait to see the final product. I will be sharing more about it in the upcoming weeks.

Four. Totally need this shirt for next week...... You're welcome

Five. Thanksgiving morning will start with this. You have to eat a good breakfast and watch the parade... duh

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, November 10, 2016

* I confess that we have been in the new house for two weeks and I feel as though we still have the whole house to unpack. That is not the case but I won't rest until the job is done. That's just how I am wired.....

* I confess that I love being pregnant later in pregnancy than earlier. I love watching her move and I am getting to the point that you can see her whole body move. It is so cool and something that I will definitely cherish forever. Oh side note we are now at every two week appointments.... whollly shit.

* I confess that we have our first shower next weekend and I am so excited. But inside I am totally freaking out since none of our big items have been purchased.

* I confess that I need 1000 hours of sleep. I am so tired that I could close my eyes and be asleep within two minutes if that long. Pregnancy is not for the weak...

* I confess that I just ordered three rugs for my house and they are all white. At first I was like what the hell am I thinking but then I started reading the comments and everyone said it is perfect for kids and dogs. That you can use carpet cleaner on it and don't have to worry about it taking the color out of the rug.... Then it clicked.... I need these rugs now!

* I confess that I am so excited that it was 50 degrees outside when I woke up. This 80 degree weather that we have been having in November is not cool. I need it to cool down for my power bill's sake.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, November 3, 2016

I am exhausted and can't think right now so lets just jump right in to this.....

* I confess that we went to our first maternity class last night and it was on breastfeeding. I may have left there with some pictures burned in my brain. I really want to breastfeed but that kind of discouraged me.

* I confess that it drives me absolutely nuts that we boxes to unpack and the house to set up. I can't stand knowing we have things to do and I can't do them all.

* I confess that my candy addiction is really.... Damn you Halloween candy.

* I confess that moving was not a good idea at 7 1/2 months pregnant. In fact it was pretty dang stupid.

* I confess that the appliance guy just called to tell me that my new washer and dryer is in.... I yelled shut up in excitement and may have made him laugh at me. OOOps! Now I get why J says he can't take me anywhere.

* I confess that I don't have any clean maternity jeans so I stuffed myself in non maternity jeans yesterday for our class and it was a hot ass mess. They fit I was just super uncomfortable.

* I confess that we have a birthing class all day Saturday and I would much rather sleep all day long than go. #futuremomoftheyearaward

* I confess that my sinus/allergy/ cold has been here for a week and I am over it. Move along sniffle. #byefelicia

* I confess that I sat in baby girl's room for a hour yesterday just looking at her furniture. I am in love with everything and can't wait until she is here.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, October 27, 2016

Happy Thursday Everyone. We are one day away from signing away our lives on a beautiful house that I can't wait to make our home. This process has been a struggle to say the least at seven months pregnant. Girls.... Don't move 7 months pregnant..... All you do is get yelled at by your husband for lifting anything over 5 pounds. But I know that everything will be perfect by the time we bring our baby girl home in a short few months. Any who time for some juicy confessions.....

* I confess that I only have about 50% of the house packed. Yep.... Go me! It is hard coming home to pack after being at work for eight hours and have swollen feet. I think everything will work out just fine but man this shit is for the birds.

* I confess that I got so stressed out about this move and everything being fixed at the new house that all I could do yesterday afternoon was cry. I know that part of it is pregnancy hormones but part of it just stress. After my good cry I felt better though.

* I confess that my love for Costco Hot dogs maybe greater than then my love for anything else. We have eaten them for dinner like three times in a week. I know... I know it's a problem but they are so good. I don't know how to stop.... Is there a support group or something?

* I confess that I may be more excited about bringing baby G's stuff to the house than I am about bringing my own. I can;t wait to make progress in her room...

* I confess that we have 21 days until our first shower..... Omg like that is just a blink away. I am so excited to love on this sweet baby girl in my belly....

* I confess that I still feel like I am preparing for two funerals after the walking dead Sunday. I am so attached to these people on the show. I shall wear black all week long. #byebyeginger #byebyemaggiesbabydaddy

Well since I have like no packing done maybe I should go do that.... Maybe?

Meal Plan Monday

Monday, October 24, 2016

Here we are another weekend in the books and another week ahead of us. Every Sunday I attempt to sit down for 20 minutes and write out a menu plan for the week along with a grocery list. I have a horrible habit of going to the store hungry and without a list so I pretty much buy the whole damn store.... This really happens. But since we have a baby on the way and a new home that we are purchasing we menu plan. Here are the three items that I will attempt to cook this week.

One of my all time favorite things in the whole world to eat is pasta. Throw in some cheese in that pasta and I am in Heaven. I love this Crock Pot Cheese Meatball Tortellini.  Throw it together and salad. Bam dinner on the table.

Foil packet dinners are amazing. You seriously have no clean up.. Like at all. You toss your foil in the garbage and bam. Shrimp boils are amazing but lets be real no one has time for that on a week night. Here is a great alternative to that. Cajun Style Grill Foil Packet. I also pour in a little bit of the old bay liquid seasoning to make it extra yummy. And of course garlic.

The last meal that I am making is Taco Soup. I use the same recipe every time and haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I love it and toss it in the crock pot to make it happy.

1 can Pinto Beans, Drained
1 can Black Beans, Drained
1 can Dark Kidney Beans, Drained
1 can Corn, Drained
28 oz diced tomatoes with juice
Can of rotel with juice
Beef Broth
Packet of Ranch Seasoning
Packet of Taco Seasoning
White onion
1lb Ground Beef, cooked and drained
1 lb Conecuh Sausage

Cook the ground beef and onions until cooked through on the stove top. I use a low fat beef that way I don't really have to drain anything. Toss that in the crock pot. Put all the beans and corn in a strainer and run water over it to get all the extra juicy off the beans. I toss the beans. tomatoes, rotel, and seasonings in the crock pot. Cut up the conecuh sausage in chucks and toss them in the crockpot. I add just enough beef broth to bring the liquids to the top of the soup mixture. I like a lot of liquids in my soup but you can put as much as you want in there. Let it cook for about a hour in the crock pot then season with salt and  pepper. I usually let it cook in the crock pot on low for about two hours then serve with whatever toppings you want. Pico, Sour Cream, Salsa, Chips... the options are endless.

Well there is my menu for the week. Hopefully we will be fully moved in and I will get to cook in my new kitchen next week!!!

Friday Favs

Friday, October 21, 2016

It's Friday Kids! I am so ready for a weekend filled with packing and getting everything set to close. This time next week we will be home owners again. Or as my hubby calls it Mortgage Owners! Yay! So here we go with another Friday Favs.

1. I am so excited. Today marks day one of my 3rd and final Trimester. This girl is getting excited to meet our little girl. I just know that she will be perfect and complete our little family. Now we just have to get ready for her arrival.

2. I need this like coffee set more than words can explain. I have dreamed about in our next house having a coffee bar set up where people can grab a awesome cup of coffee and enjoy the day. I am a believer that coffee can make your day better.

3. Baby Girl's glider came in yesterday and I am so excited to get it picked up from the store next week. We have been waiting about seven weeks for it to get here and man did that time drag by. Now we just have to pick out the personal touches on her room and it will come together.

4. Bath & Body Works have my favorite three wick candles on sale for 12.50 and currently they are running a promotion for 25% off your order. I will be stocking up on some wonderful fall scents to fill my house for the holidays. My forever holiday favorite will always be Leaves....

5. My favorite booties of all time are currently on sale at Nordstrom. I am hoping to swing these in a different color this year. They are 20% off and free shipping. Double score. These are the Toms Desert Wedge. They are so comfortable and feel like you are walking on clouds all day! I love them so much. I have them in black but think that I may need them in Taupe too.

So I hope everyone has a great weekend. Enjoy the fall weather in the South while it last.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, October 20, 2016

Happy Friday Eve! I am so glad that we can almost see the end of this week. It has  been a crazy one. Here are some weekly confessions.

* I confess that we are changing from the Iphone to a Nexus phone and it is giving me a panic attack. It is so hard to give up my beloved Iphone but it will save us fifty dollars a month. Which when you have a baby on the way is a lot.

* I confess that I am getting so tired of Facebook. I kinda of want to delete it...Hear me out. All...day...Every....day all that I see on there are people sharing stupid time wasting things. It is getting very old.

* I confess that we close on the house next Friday and I still have barely packed. I would much rather be at Costco eating hot dogs and buy things than packing.

* I confess that it drives me crazy when people at the office listen to there radio/ football weekend predictions so loud that I can hear every word... #turnthatshitoff Sometimes I am a Asshole and turn mine up to be louder.

* I confess that it drives me crazy also when people try to tell you how to raise/punish your kid. If you birthed it or carried it you punish it how ever you want.  It seems like right when you get the positive pregnancy test people tell you everything that you should do. #itsnoneofyourdamnbusiness

* I confess that walking two blocks up hill to my car at the end of everyday is getting harder and harder. I am actually starting to think getting a ticket for being at a meter all day would totally be worth it.

* I confess that I am so excited about picking up the nursery furniture next weekend from the store. I want her room to be done by Friday night but I know that won't happen.
