Thursday Confessions

Thursday, September 29, 2016

Happy Thursday Everyone. I woke up this morning to temperatures of 66 and in Alabama that feels amazing!!! Way better than the normal 80's. Oh how I love Fall.

* I confess that we found a house Tuesday and I love this house more than any other one that we have looked at. I am so scared something is going to go wrong that I don't want to fall to much in love with it.

* I confess that we got a quilt monogrammed with baby girl's initials and now this baby totally feels real. I am so excited and nervous all at the same time.

* I confess that I am totally stressed out about Halloween. When you are pregnant you have to wear the perfect Halloween costume. What to be... What to be?

* I confess that I have already decorated my cube at work in Halloween decor. It may be one of my all time fav holidays.

* I confess that the first trimester nausea has shown it's ugly head here in the past few days and that shit is for the birds. I am a knocking on the third trimester's door and don't have time to be sick all the time again.

* I confess that we are going to Birmingham (about a hour away) Saturday to get her changing table that I scored for $35.00. Super pumped about my amazing deal on it and I may or may not have thrown the deal my hubby's face who told me that I would have to spend over 100 bucks on one.

* I confess that I am in love with the new show Bull. I totally miss Tony on NCIS and having him on this shows gives me my fix.

* I confess that I could eat a Costco Hotdog every day for every meal. I have to go to the shopping center that it is in today and I am totally debating on going by there. #preggofatgirl

Have a great Thursday!

Friday Favs

Friday, September 23, 2016

Happy Friday Everyone. This week been a pretty awesome one. I am so excited about the weekend and what is in store....

One. Today I leave for the reCreate Women's Conference with my church. I am so super excited and can not wait to see the changes for Women that will take place right in front of my eyes. One of my favorite speakers will be there this year talking about her testimony and how she survived Human Trafficking. Christine Caine is a amazing inspiration for every women.

Two. We have decided on a name for baby girl. It is official and I am so pumped. We are going to keep it a secret on the blog until she makes her appearance but it is adorable. It is a family name for both mine and J's family so it is extra special to both of us.

Three. It's Fall!! Fall is the best time of the year. I love football, family celebrations, and of course all the yummy meals.

Four. Not only did we pick her name this week but we finished her Registry and her bedding came in the mail. I feel like we checked a bunch of things off our checklist this week. Last weekend we finished painting so now we just have to pick up her furniture and glider. Things are starting to come together. I can't believe in 16 weeks or less we will be holding our sweet baby girl.

Five. J's uncle came in to town not to long ago and brought some ice cream that isn't horrible for you. Ya'll when I tell you that this ice cream is yummy and taste amazing I mean it. It is high protein and comes in several different flavors.  The whole pint is 240-280 calories and has over 20 grams of protein.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. See you guys next week.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, September 22, 2016

I confess that it scares the shit out of me thinking that I will be a mom in 113 days or less. I am so excited about our future and getting to be this little nuggets mama but these things don't come with instruction manuals

I confess that we have a new attorney at work that dresses more like she is planning on spending her day on the street corner than in a courtroom. Is it that hard to put on some damn clothes.

I confess that I am beating a bunch of grow men at work in Fantasy football and none of them will barely speak to me anymore. But it feels so good to beat the boys.

I confess that I am so super pumped about a Women's Church Conference that I am attending this weekend. I have been told for years to attend but something always comes up where I can't attend. Well this year I am checking it off the good old bucket list.

I confess that my husband makes me mad every morning when the alarm goes off. I hit snooze and he rolls over to go back to sleep. Then he sets his watch for a alarm and it's my fault that we sleep in. #thatsbullshitz

I confess that I would like to move some where that actual has seasons. Today is the first day of fall and it is high 90s.

Easy Weeknight Recipes

Tuesday, September 20, 2016

With everything else going on in our lives currently it is very hard to find time to cook. I love cooking and baking. Spending hours in the kitchen and watching how yummy (for the most part) is my all time favorite. But with how busy everything is right now we are doing good not to eat out almost everyday. We have a few favorite weeknight meals that we can toss together.

All of the recipes can be whipped up in 30 mins or less. I love quick and easy dinners that take the pressure off of me. I can get these done and move on with the next chore on my list. I hope this post gives you so ideas for easy dinners and if there are any you love please share them with me.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, September 15, 2016

  • I confess that we went to a outside wedding last Saturday and it was the worst ever due to the weather. Everyone pretty much left there seats and stood in the shade. The weather app said it was 97 which feels more like 297.

  • I confess that I felt crappy all night Saturday at the ball because I was pregnant and couldn't have a good time. My belly felt huge and my dress made me feel as though I was just fat.

  • I confess that I am having a panic attack about finding her bedding. Damn you Pottery Barn for back order and only putting one set for sale at a time. I am in LOVE with the Bailey Ruffle and it is available for 6 hours then sold out again.

  • I confess that I am not excited about not being able to watch football Saturday. We have a birthday party and bridal shower about two hours away to go to. Last weekend was the wedding and ball. It is football season....stop it!

  • I confess that we ordered Baby P's glider this week and I am on cloud 9 over it. It will take four weeks to come in and I will count each day off my calendar..Hurry up!

  • I confess that I scheduled my glucose test for four weeks away and I am scared to death about it. I don't want to fail...

Ballin with the Bump

Tuesday, September 13, 2016

Saturday night was full of dancing, food, and talking about the bump. I am a member of a local women's social club and we hosted our annual ball. It is a fun night to get all dressed up and pretend like you are prom all over again. We go to a nice fancy dinner then spend the night enjoying our friends and stay up way past our usual bedtime. The theme of the night was Vintage Merrie Mimic. Which meant  vintage wine and boy was it flowing.

We didn't take any full length pictures and I am very disappointed in myself for that.

It was a fantastic night and I am so excited to do it all over next year. Even though we will have to leave our baby girl it will be nice to have a kid free night.

Friday Favs

Friday, September 9, 2016

Happy Friday Everyone. I am so pumped for this weekend. I am a member of a ladies social group in my town and we get together once a year and throw a fantastic ball. This ball kicks off ball season and we go all out. Since I am 22 weeks pregnant this ball we are gonna have a great time with baby bump in tow.

One. Speaking of baby bump.... She attended her first Burger Bash last night. It is her mamma's second Burger Bash. Our town puts on a local burger competition where local restaurants can compete to see who has the best burger. This year like the last we left with our bellies way to full.

Second. We purchased baby girls crib and dresser Friday. We spent pretty much the whole weekend painting and prepping the walls. The baby store will hold everything until we get everything done that way we don't have to risk getting paint on it or messing it up. We ended up picking the first one that we looked at. The Dolce Babi Naples Collection. I know that I want to keep her room like and pastel so this will fit in and grow with her. The bed changes into a full size and it is really high quality material.

Third. Guys I am blown away with Carter's Dept store customer service. I have to brag on them for a second. We went shopping at the Carter's outlet when we were at the beach a few weeks ago. I earned some rewards and looked into using them online. Well they were running at Free Shipping and 20% off sale. I ordered something the exact price of the reward amount that I had. Since they ship everything for Free with the promo code I didn't have to pay anything. I was so proud... getting this mom thing down. Anyway I received the shipment this week and they sent me the incorrect item. I called them and now they are sending me the correct item and told me to keep the item that they shipped wrong. How cool is that. They definitely made life long customers out of us.

Four. I made these meatball sliders for our work tailgate party last week and guys these did not disappoint. They were fabulous. You seriously should put them on your football food rotation.

Five. J's cousin is getting hitched tomorrow and we can't wait to celebrate with them. We will have to cut our time at the reception short to get ready for the ball but the wedding is going to be so pretty. They are getting married on a lake like we did and it should be beautiful outside.

Hope you have a great weekend.

Gender Reveal Party

Tuesday, September 6, 2016

I have been a total slacker lately but here they are.... the long awaited Gender Reveal Party pictures. We had our party at a local restaurant that way no one would have to clean or pick up after the party. We wanted to make it as simple as possible. We had our closest friends and family members come for dinner than we cut the cake. It was killing me not knowing but it was well worth the wait to find out with everyone else. We wanted to make sure that no one could ever say they were the first to know. We all found out together....

We were so excited to find out that we are going to blessed with a little baby girl in January.

Friday Fall Favorites

Friday, September 2, 2016

Happy Friday Everyone. I am so glad that it is finally Friday and I can sleep in tomorrow. This post is fulled by coffee and one hour of turning my alarm off and going back to sleep. Yeah this morning was a late sleep to write down in the books. Since it is Friday and I have one cup of coffee down it's time for my Fall Friday Favorites.

One. You don't know Fall candles until you are burning this baby. It smells heavenly and floats all through your house. It's amazing.

Two. This Pumpkin Cheesecake Dip is where it is at. I love pumpkin flavored dips and this is almost by far the best thing to dance over your taste buds.... You can serve it with vanilla wafers or those fantastic cookies that serve to you on the delta plane.

Three. I love flavored Oatmeal and this is my favorite Fall oatmeal to throw together. The taste of it screams everything fall and it is a pretty healthy breakfast to throw together.

Four. Fall outfits are AMAZING. You just throw on a scarf and cardigan....bam you are ready for the day. Gosh I love that!

Five. The season it's self is my favorite of all time. I love football. friends, family, and the holidays.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, September 1, 2016

Happy Thursday Everyone. Sorry for the quiet blog here lately but we were enjoying a nice family vaca and needed a week to recover from the vacation after. Since it is Thursday it's time for some confessions.....

  • We are going to a ball next Saturday and trying on dresses has brought me to tears more than a couple of time. usually by this time I have a dress, my hair and makeup practiced, and at least have a idea of the shoes that I will be wearing.

  • The same person at work who told me that I was big at 18 weeks also decided to tell me that I now I waddle.... That is just mean and something you should never say to anyone.

  • I may not have done all half the laundry from the beach trip. I just don't have the motivation to do laundry at all.

  • We are going to order baby girls crib tomorrow and I am so nervous. What if it isn't the right one....

  • We still can't decide on a name. I am game for putting it in a bowl and picking but my hubby isn't.

  • We are putting a offer in on a house tomorrow and I can't wait. I really hope we get this house since every other house has been a bust. It's driving me crazy not knowing where we are gonna raise our baby girl.

  • Our little girl also now has a nick name since we won't decide on the name. Our family is now calling her BG for Baby Girl. I am not sure how I feel about it.
