Thursday Confessions

Thursday, October 27, 2016

Happy Thursday Everyone. We are one day away from signing away our lives on a beautiful house that I can't wait to make our home. This process has been a struggle to say the least at seven months pregnant. Girls.... Don't move 7 months pregnant..... All you do is get yelled at by your husband for lifting anything over 5 pounds. But I know that everything will be perfect by the time we bring our baby girl home in a short few months. Any who time for some juicy confessions.....

* I confess that I only have about 50% of the house packed. Yep.... Go me! It is hard coming home to pack after being at work for eight hours and have swollen feet. I think everything will work out just fine but man this shit is for the birds.

* I confess that I got so stressed out about this move and everything being fixed at the new house that all I could do yesterday afternoon was cry. I know that part of it is pregnancy hormones but part of it just stress. After my good cry I felt better though.

* I confess that my love for Costco Hot dogs maybe greater than then my love for anything else. We have eaten them for dinner like three times in a week. I know... I know it's a problem but they are so good. I don't know how to stop.... Is there a support group or something?

* I confess that I may be more excited about bringing baby G's stuff to the house than I am about bringing my own. I can;t wait to make progress in her room...

* I confess that we have 21 days until our first shower..... Omg like that is just a blink away. I am so excited to love on this sweet baby girl in my belly....

* I confess that I still feel like I am preparing for two funerals after the walking dead Sunday. I am so attached to these people on the show. I shall wear black all week long. #byebyeginger #byebyemaggiesbabydaddy

Well since I have like no packing done maybe I should go do that.... Maybe?

Meal Plan Monday

Monday, October 24, 2016

Here we are another weekend in the books and another week ahead of us. Every Sunday I attempt to sit down for 20 minutes and write out a menu plan for the week along with a grocery list. I have a horrible habit of going to the store hungry and without a list so I pretty much buy the whole damn store.... This really happens. But since we have a baby on the way and a new home that we are purchasing we menu plan. Here are the three items that I will attempt to cook this week.

One of my all time favorite things in the whole world to eat is pasta. Throw in some cheese in that pasta and I am in Heaven. I love this Crock Pot Cheese Meatball Tortellini.  Throw it together and salad. Bam dinner on the table.

Foil packet dinners are amazing. You seriously have no clean up.. Like at all. You toss your foil in the garbage and bam. Shrimp boils are amazing but lets be real no one has time for that on a week night. Here is a great alternative to that. Cajun Style Grill Foil Packet. I also pour in a little bit of the old bay liquid seasoning to make it extra yummy. And of course garlic.

The last meal that I am making is Taco Soup. I use the same recipe every time and haven't been able to find it anywhere else. I love it and toss it in the crock pot to make it happy.

1 can Pinto Beans, Drained
1 can Black Beans, Drained
1 can Dark Kidney Beans, Drained
1 can Corn, Drained
28 oz diced tomatoes with juice
Can of rotel with juice
Beef Broth
Packet of Ranch Seasoning
Packet of Taco Seasoning
White onion
1lb Ground Beef, cooked and drained
1 lb Conecuh Sausage

Cook the ground beef and onions until cooked through on the stove top. I use a low fat beef that way I don't really have to drain anything. Toss that in the crock pot. Put all the beans and corn in a strainer and run water over it to get all the extra juicy off the beans. I toss the beans. tomatoes, rotel, and seasonings in the crock pot. Cut up the conecuh sausage in chucks and toss them in the crockpot. I add just enough beef broth to bring the liquids to the top of the soup mixture. I like a lot of liquids in my soup but you can put as much as you want in there. Let it cook for about a hour in the crock pot then season with salt and  pepper. I usually let it cook in the crock pot on low for about two hours then serve with whatever toppings you want. Pico, Sour Cream, Salsa, Chips... the options are endless.

Well there is my menu for the week. Hopefully we will be fully moved in and I will get to cook in my new kitchen next week!!!

Friday Favs

Friday, October 21, 2016

It's Friday Kids! I am so ready for a weekend filled with packing and getting everything set to close. This time next week we will be home owners again. Or as my hubby calls it Mortgage Owners! Yay! So here we go with another Friday Favs.

1. I am so excited. Today marks day one of my 3rd and final Trimester. This girl is getting excited to meet our little girl. I just know that she will be perfect and complete our little family. Now we just have to get ready for her arrival.

2. I need this like coffee set more than words can explain. I have dreamed about in our next house having a coffee bar set up where people can grab a awesome cup of coffee and enjoy the day. I am a believer that coffee can make your day better.

3. Baby Girl's glider came in yesterday and I am so excited to get it picked up from the store next week. We have been waiting about seven weeks for it to get here and man did that time drag by. Now we just have to pick out the personal touches on her room and it will come together.

4. Bath & Body Works have my favorite three wick candles on sale for 12.50 and currently they are running a promotion for 25% off your order. I will be stocking up on some wonderful fall scents to fill my house for the holidays. My forever holiday favorite will always be Leaves....

5. My favorite booties of all time are currently on sale at Nordstrom. I am hoping to swing these in a different color this year. They are 20% off and free shipping. Double score. These are the Toms Desert Wedge. They are so comfortable and feel like you are walking on clouds all day! I love them so much. I have them in black but think that I may need them in Taupe too.

So I hope everyone has a great weekend. Enjoy the fall weather in the South while it last.

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, October 20, 2016

Happy Friday Eve! I am so glad that we can almost see the end of this week. It has  been a crazy one. Here are some weekly confessions.

* I confess that we are changing from the Iphone to a Nexus phone and it is giving me a panic attack. It is so hard to give up my beloved Iphone but it will save us fifty dollars a month. Which when you have a baby on the way is a lot.

* I confess that I am getting so tired of Facebook. I kinda of want to delete it...Hear me out. All...day...Every....day all that I see on there are people sharing stupid time wasting things. It is getting very old.

* I confess that we close on the house next Friday and I still have barely packed. I would much rather be at Costco eating hot dogs and buy things than packing.

* I confess that it drives me crazy when people at the office listen to there radio/ football weekend predictions so loud that I can hear every word... #turnthatshitoff Sometimes I am a Asshole and turn mine up to be louder.

* I confess that it drives me crazy also when people try to tell you how to raise/punish your kid. If you birthed it or carried it you punish it how ever you want.  It seems like right when you get the positive pregnancy test people tell you everything that you should do. #itsnoneofyourdamnbusiness

* I confess that walking two blocks up hill to my car at the end of everyday is getting harder and harder. I am actually starting to think getting a ticket for being at a meter all day would totally be worth it.

* I confess that I am so excited about picking up the nursery furniture next weekend from the store. I want her room to be done by Friday night but I know that won't happen.

BumpDate: Twenty Seven Weeks

Tuesday, October 18, 2016

Meal Planning

Monday, October 17, 2016

With everything that has been going on I only get to cook only three or four meals a week. Since currently there is only two of us we can usually stretch a meal out for two days. I wanted to share with you guys what my meal plan for this week is. I work until 5pm everyday so getting home and making a fancy meal just doesn't work for us so I try to keep things simple and easy. Our Walmart just got the order online and pick up so it saves up every week on the grocery bill. That help stick to the budget and only get things that we need.

Served with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans

Served with Salad

And that's a wrap on our food for the week. We have a busy week of packing and getting ready to move. We close on the house next week so we need to at least get half of the house packed up this week. I need to work on getting BG's changing table remodeled.... Man the list keeps on adding up.

Friday Favs

Friday, October 14, 2016

I am so thrilled that it is finally Friday. Ya'll Friday is my jam. I mean come on what is better knowing that you don't have to get up early and can eat your Applejack's with marshmallows on your own time. Thank goodness for the weekend.

One. Number one of course is this beauty that we are moving into two weeks from today....
I am in LOVE with this house.

Two. Tomorrow is our annual Holiday market and I am so excited. Every year we go and purchase crafts and food mixes to last us all year long. I love being able to walk through and look at what everyone has. This year it will be totally different since I can look at stuff for Baby Girl too.

Three. Like I have mentioned several times.... Guys and Gals I love my Apple jacks with Marshmallows... I don't know who came up with these recently but I have a addiction. My husband received a call from me in melt down mode because we were out at the house and publix didn't have any in the store.  He had to talk me down from going over the edge.

Four. I want this dress like right now. This whole outfit needs to be in my closet right now or better yet on me. I love the swing in the dress that hides all the extra lovin I have on my body right now. And those shoes..... #getinmycloset

Five. I have to go pack...... That's your number five today..

Thursday Confessions

Thursday, October 13, 2016

Happy Thursday Everyone. We are so close to Friday. I am so ready for to relax and get things checked on my to do list. Which that list just keeps getting longer and longer. It is time for some Thursday Confessions.....

* I confess that we close on our new home in two weeks and I have done zero packing.... Like for real nothing is packed. I am slightly freaking out about it.

* I confess that I have not received the results of my glucose test yet and I am trying to eat everything sweet and carby between now and the time that I get the results just in case.....

* I confess that I am going to beat a kid at work. Yes that is right a attorney brings his kid to work every afternoon and I don't think this kid has ever been spanked. I am fixing to change that if he doesn't stop being a total turd.

* I confess that I am addicted to the little single pizzas. I have been heating them in the toaster oven at work everyday and taking them back to my desk so I am not the fat pregnant girl that is judged.

* I confess that I have already started having anxiety about her not having enough bows and cute clothes. I am actually more worried that we won't receive the things that we need for her to survive at the showers but still she needs bows!!!

* I confess that I am in total love with our new house. I can;t stop looking at the pictures online and counting down until we move in.

I hope everyone has a great Thursday. What are some of your confessions?

Life Lately

Tuesday, October 11, 2016

Things around this neck of the woods have been crazy. I apologize for my brief break from the blog. We have been busy and barely have time to get our regular things done.  Here are a few exciting updates on life lately.

* The main thing that we have been dealing with is the house hunting. I am more than happy to say that as of October 28th we will be home owners. We finally after months and months of looking found the perfect home for us to live in forever. I am so excited to bring baby girl home to this house! It is in a fantastic school system  and is just minutes away from our favorite shopping center.

* My husband was a groomsmen in a wedding over the weekend. It was a great time but we totally realized that we are old and can not hang anymore. We left everyone almost every night to go back to the hotel to sleep. We were both happy to be back at home on Sunday.

* I did my glucose test yesterday and am waiting on the results. I totally not sure how this will come out since I have PCOS. When you have PCOS you have a greater chance to have gestational diabetes.

* We have finally finished our registry and I am so excited about that. It is very difficult to pick the best items for your child. Man it takes a lot of research and thought. Plus everything works different for different families. I hope we are just making the right decisions.....

So we have been dealing with this and much more lately. I am hoping things will slow down in a few weeks after we close and get settled. We will finally be able to get her room set up and relax....
